My Hotpoint refrigerator is making a loud buzzing noise when the ccoling cycle begins. Any ideas??

Two days ago, my Hotpoint refrigerator began making a noisy buzzing noise - similar to a hockey buzzer - when the cooling circle begins. It lasts about 3 to 4 seconds and then quits. The refrigerator and freezer are cooling subtle. What could it be?

All the above are doable reasons. Since the noise stops in 3 or 4 seconds, it may also be the starting capacitor or the starting orbit that starts the compressor. The starting capacitor circuit gives the compressor a 'rebound' to get it going and then

I have Hotpoint refrigerator. I found out the evaporator fan is not turning. I have replaced it with a new motor but still no working. I called a technician that he told me the motherboard is out. I impartial want to make sure is there any other problem

The motherboard is a proper bet. On a simple refrigerator, the evaporator fan motor would be wired in parallel with the compressor motor so that both would run at the same all at once. But in your case, it sounds as if it is separately controlled, which

I dire keep from diagnosing my fridge difficult. The temperature will unsteadiness and will get violent enough to mollify the ice in the icebox. Sometimes my ice cream is plush and sometimes its determinedly (like it should be). This happens on both sides, the freezer and the fridge side. Please facilitate with some suggestions.
