why is my whirlpool refrigerator making a loud noise whenever the compressor shuts off.?

Its 2 years old and Im the 2nd proprietor. It uses R 134A with a capillary tube system, and I can feel the compressor brush off pretty violently when the thermostat is satisfied. I thought that the compressor mounts were slapdash so I tightened them

Do not unfasten the compressor mounting bolts. You actually shouldn't have been able to tighten them anymore than what they were when shipped from the works. They will only tighten so far because they are only partially threaded.

I be deficient in to find the cheapest way to get my refrigerator fixed! If anyone can tell me who to call to get a new Whirlpool Gold compressor, I would really enjoy it!

It is not a miserly repair and companies that do that type of work normally like to pressure a profit, so you are not going to find one company that is drastically cheaper than the others. If you department store around, I'm sure you can find someone

Amana SXS Freezer gave up the ghost - Appliance Repair Forum

I have an Amana SxS about 8 years old and the freezer seems to have gone out (fridge side *seems* to be doing ok). All lights are on, and removing the back panels reveals that the fan is tournament and stirring air and there is no frost so no fix over incorrigible. About every five minutes I can consider something backlash on and start game (compressor?) but then it shuts off after about 15 seconds. From looking through the threads on this forum it looks like perchance a compressor disturbed? How do I be familiar with what part to make restitution for? thanks!
