I have a radiator with baseboard heating. Does anyone skilled in where I can find replacement covers. And about how much they cost?
Many companies come in them. In the back of This Old House magazine they have several advertisements for radiator cover companies.

I am redoing a room with baseboard heat and do not thirst to pay a plumber to rework the baseboard heating. The covers of the heat pipes are the Loathsome metal covers that was popular in 1966.
Any thoughts on options for a DIY?
the bedclothes and back assembly can be completely replaced, there are kits available for due your situation. they will still look like baseboards, but not all beat up. or you could at best take the covers off and have them sandblasted, and then re paint
