What should I use to connect bathroom exhaust fans to exterior vents?

I have two bathroom fans that I discovered aren't connected to the front vents designed for them. The thing is, no one I've talked to can tell me what I should use to screw the darn things. ANY info at all would be GREATLY appreciated!

Both Intelligent_Man and Dave S make good points. Excpet when Dave S said that venting your bathroom into your attic was not a imbroglio, it can be. While venting odors into your attic is no big deal (unless you're the one in the attic) venting steam

How effective are bathroom extractor fans?

Hi

I have nothing but had a bathroom fan fitted, and it seems to clear the steam in the bathroom. How ever still leaves condensation on the walls and ceiling, should it not bring to a halt condensation built up on the walls as well?

It all depends on the cubic feet the fan is built for. It should be rated for the dimensions of the room. Depending on just how long and hot your showers are if it can keep up with the condensation on the walls, it may not bo superior to do that...

When I built our last home base, I did a zealous traffic of check in on them. The common bathroom fan is very discordant. I found a series of fans that were potent and hushed. Not only did I put them in my bathrooms, I put the biggest one in the Nautical galley. This is my feedback after a few years of use. The bathroom fans are still pronounced (and one of the beat decisions I made in as well to the fan acquisition was installing timer switches; these fans are so quietness people would accidentally licence them on for hours otherwise).

The caboose fan worked beautiful well, but became blasting over experience. Note, the fan was marketed as a bathroom fan, so the designers possibly did not visualize the fan sucking up pantry grease over occasionally. It still is not very blasting, but I'm not effective if I would praise this get in line for the larder. It has my highest good word for its intended use in bathroom.

The maker is Panasonic, they have a hotelier of sizes such as VF-05VQ3, FV-08VQ3, FV-11VQ3, FV-15VQ4. I enthusiastically advocate these...
