HVAC: Help matching Friedrich PTAC heat pump wires to Hunter thermostat.?

I have a Friedrich PTAC example #PDH15K - manual indicates we can use this with any "24v single stage meagre wall mounted thermostat".

I want to use a Stalker 44360 programmable thermostat, the specs say it can be used with a

James M -CLUELESS
ill-starred that stat will NOT work on that unit.The ptac operates as follows.
C -common
r- 24v hot
gl and gh- fan rush pick one
w- is auxillary electric heat
y- is compressor
b- energizes
