How well do gas furnace heater's work?

I'm buying my first haunt and it has two gas furnace heaters. Square footage is about 1100. Are they very efficient? Is gas more costly than electric? Any suggestions for what to replace the furnaces with that's not to expensive but works well-disposed?

They industry wonderful!!!! However, my natural gas bill has increased about 40 percent in the last brace of years. Our furnace is about 10 years old. Today's new furnaces are more effectual. I'M CURIOUS why would you need 2 furnaces in a house your

My gas heater (furnace) is blowing out cold air in some area and hot air the rest , what should I do?

The most direct thought that comes to mind is checking the pipes themselves that run from the furnace to each space. It sounds like you may have a break of some sort. The other thought is how prolonged a run do you have from the furnace to the cold areas?
