I have a 10 yr old oil-fired hot damp heater that has started to leak from the top. I have been told I need to replace the whole obsession, but it seems to me you should be able to re-use the burner since it is still good and replace only the tank itself.
Yes it can be done, not tried about where to buy tank separate though. I've worked with them and have interchanged parts without provoke.

In the days, people had to pay for worthless devastate oil disposal in almost ever routine. Today, times have changed and many people see a distinguished value in that hand-me-down / wilderness oil, so companies are now ‘getting paid’ for it. The intention we are still in trade is because the ‘value’ of that old oil increases 3-4 times what you would be getting ‘paid’ when it’s burned in a Lanair heater.
Lets say you get paid 1 dollar per gallon for worthless devastate oil.
When burned inside a garbage oil heater, that value goes up to whatever the value of ordinary ‘encourage-oil’ would be. The BTU proportion of on fire “encourage-oil” compared to “rub out-oil” is 1:1, so you are still getting the ‘full value’ of that oil when you fire it.
Lets look at that again, if you were to “pay” for 500 gallons of encourage-oil at 4 dollars per gallon, that would be about 2000 dollars. If you already mould 500 gallons of pillage-oil, its ‘value’ 2000 dollars to you if you incinerate it. However, if you prefer to altogether put across the utilized oil, it will only be importance 500 dollars, and you’ll still be paying for a heating settlement on top of that.
